The hood ornament was to signify in an artistic way that the Packard was the car to get laid in and that the back seat had enough amenities to make it a pleasurable and enjoyable experience for her and him.
Go on line though and look up pictures of how the Packard Motor Car Company plant looks like today. All four square blocks of it still is standing her in mid Detroit.

I don't have the wherewithal to own even a Packard ornament, but I do have that Blind Faith vinyl.
