What Fresh Hell 1/16/12 Militaryindustryistan

 Militaryindustryistan.

A little talked about country that is Steady Draining the U$ Treasury.

With enactment of the sixth FY2011 Continuing Resolution through March 18, 2011, (H.J.Res. 48/P.L. 112-6) Congress has approved a total of $1.283 trillion for military operations, base security, reconstruction, foreign aid, embassy costs, and veterans’ health care for the three operations initiated since the 9/11 attacks:
Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) Afghanistan and other counter terror operations;
Operation Noble Eagle (ONE), providing enhanced security at military bases;
and  Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). This estimate assumes that the current CR level continues through the rest of the year and that agencies allocate reductions proportionately.

Of this $1.283 trillion total, CRS estimates that Iraq will receive about $806 billion (63%),
OEF $444  billion (35%) and enhanced base security about $29 billion (2%),
with about $5 billion that CRS cannot allocate (1/2%).
About 94% of the funds are for DOD, 5% for foreign aid programs and diplomatic operations,
and 1% for medical care for veterans.

as you can see Militaryindustryistan is an IsLand in the Stream.

Juxtaposition 9-3-2011 Unchain this anglican heart

A Ford Angelia. the walking man can correct me on this, for I do believe that is a blown engine.

The dickheads in Washington are about to blow an engine that ran fine while normally aspirated, but they have now hopped it up on extoic fuels and, AND have wild broads, on the starting lines, throwing whole bags of tea into the air inlets.

Oh and none of these broads want to get fucked,
they just want to fuck with you.
Hey that's just my opinion.
I could be wrong.

Ok,
OK,
I know it's mean, but what if
Just what
IF
but only if:
Michelle Bachmann were banging Mit Romney.
and Sara Palin were banging Rick Perry.
And Rick Santorum were catching with Dick Chaney pitchin'.

Which do you think would make the best couple for the white house.
Ok, ok , I'll hush now.

What Fresh Hell - a very model

Some things are just too much to not pass on.

What Fresh Hell - Blame JadedJ

Ok, Ok, I know the drumming thing is worn thin but... I hate when that word follows a true statement... I was just remarking to some past comments that I had overlooked in my thrill of seeing Dylan live again and found this juewell (sic) of a thought. Or so I thought at the time, we will see about that. JadedJ gave the post a link to Krupa and Cozy Cole in a drum set. I think we all agree that Krupa is la crème de la crème...but, there it is again...put Cozy Cole up against Benny Goodman and this is what you get.
The photo are gratuitous. I just like my camera work.
Here is Benny's version, and a photo.
(the cartoon in the middle is the site i ripped off)

Now the Drummers get off the porch and begin to howl.
One Cool Cat. Cozy Cole with Topsy part 2
You be the Judge.

What Fresh Hell? A Mosque?

The following is taken from today’s opinion page of a local newspaper.

Does it strike anyone, other than me, as odd, misdirected and contradictory?

Maybe I'm just overwhelmed.

The Mosque

The Obama administration has sued Arizona to stop an immigration bill that the people (Arizona Legislature) overwhelmingly approved; it has sued the state of California to overturn a marriage law that Californians overwhelmingly approved. It rammed through a health-care bill that Americans overwhelmingly rejected.

Now, despite the people’s overwhelming objections, the president supports the construction of an Islamic mosque next to the hallowed national site of Ground Zero, the very symbol of anti-American Islamic terrorism.

Yes, the mosque has the legal right to build near Ground Zero.
But it flies in the face of the most basic teaching of humankind:

When the Pharisees asked Jesus what is the greatest commandment, he replied:

”Love the Lord your God with all your heart

and with all your soul and with all your mind.

This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Contrary to what the New York imam says, the mosque near Ground Zero is not showing neighborly love. It is an outward thrust of spite.

What Fresh Hell, Gaia has Gas

Ripped Off from Helium.com

If you're gonna be Dead, might as well be Grateful.

Disturbing evidence is mounting that something frightening is happening deep under the waters of the Gulf of Mexico—something far worse than the BP oil gusher.

Warnings were raised as long as a year before the Deepwater Horizon disaster that the area of seabed chosen by the BP geologists might be unstable, or worse, inherently dangerous.

What makes the location that Transocean chose potentially far riskier than other potential oil deposits located at other regions of the Gulf? It can be summed up with two words: methane gas. The same methane that makes coal mining operations hazardous and leads to horrendous mining accidents deep under the earth also can present a high level of danger to certain oil exploration ventures.

Location of Deepwater Horizon oil rig was criticized more than 12 months ago, some geologists rang the warning bell that the Deepwater Horizon exploratory rig might have been erected directly over a huge underground reservoir of methane. Documents from several years ago indicate that the subterranean geologic formation may contain the presence of a huge methane deposit.

None other than the engineer who helped lead the team to snuff the Gulf oil fires set by Saddam Hussein to slow the advance of American troops has stated that a huge underground lake of methane gas—compressed by a pressure of 100,000 pounds per square inch (psi)—could be released by BP's drilling effort to obtain the oil deposit. Current engineering technology cannot contain gas that is pressurized to 100,000 psi.

By some geologists' estimates the methane could be a massive 15 to 20 mile wide 10' deep toxic and explosive bubble trapped for eons under the Gulf sea floor. In their opinion, the explosive destruction of the Deepwater Horizon wellhead was an accident just waiting to happen.

Yet the disaster that followed the loss of the rig pales by comparison to the apocalyptic disaster that may come. A cascading catastrophe

According to worried geologists, the first signs that the methane may burst its way through the bottom of the ocean would be fissures or cracks appearing on the ocean floor near the damaged well head.

Evidence of fissures opening up on the seabed have been captured by the robotic submersibles working to repair and contain the ruptured well. Smaller, independent plumes have also appeared outside the nearby radius of the bore hole itself. According to some geological experts, BP's operations set into motion a series of events that may be irreversible. Step-by-step the drilling team committed one error after another.

Congressmen Henry Waxman, D-CA, and Bart Stupak, D-MI, in a letter sent to BP CEO Tony Hayward, identified 5 missteps made by BP during the period culminating with the explosion.

Waxman, chair of the Congressional energy panel and Stupak, the head of the subcommittee on oversight and investigations, said, "The common feature of these five decisions is that they posed a trade-off between cost and well safety."
The two Representatives also stated in the 14-page letter to Hayward that "Time after time, it appears that BP made decisions that increased the risk of a blowout to save the company time or expense."

Called by some insiders investigating the ongoing disaster a "perfect storm of catastrophe," the wellhead blew on the sea floor catapulting a stream of mud, oil and gas upwards at the speed of sound.
In describing the events—that transpired in a matter of seconds—they note that immediately following the rupture the borehole pipe's casing blew away exposing a straight line 8 miles deep for the pressurized gas to escape. The result was cavitation, an irregular pressure variance sometimes experience by deep diving vessels such as nuclear submarines. This cavitation created a supersonic bubble of explosive methane gas that resulted in a supersonic explosion killing 11 men and completely annihilating the drilling platform.

Death from the depths

With the emerging evidence of fissures, the quiet fear now is the methane bubble rupturing the seabed and exploding into the Gulf waters. If the bubble escapes, every ship, drilling rig and structure within the region of the bubble will instantaneously sink. All the workers, engineers, Coast Guard personnel and marine biologists measuring the oil plumes' advance will instantly perish.

As horrible as that is, what would follow is an event so potentially horrific that it equals in its fury the Indonesian tsunami that killed more than 600,000, or the destruction of Pompeii by Mt. Vesuvius.

The ultimate Gulf disaster, however, would make even those historical horrors pale by comparison. If the huge methane bubble breaches the seabed, it will erupt with an explosive fury similar to that experienced during the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens in the Pacific Northwest. A gas gusher will surge upwards through miles of ancient sedimentary rock—layer after layer—past the oil reservoir. It will explode upwards propelled by 50 tons p/si, burst through the cracks and fissures of the compromised sea floor, and rupture miles of ocean bottom with one titanic explosion.

The burgeoning methane gas cloud will surface, killing everything it touches, and set off a supersonic tsunami with the wave traveling somewhere between 400 to 600 miles per hour. While the entire Gulf coastline is vulnerable, the state most exposed to the fury of a supersonic wave towering 150 to 200 feet or more is Florida. The Sunshine State only averages about 100 feet above sea level with much of the coastline and lowlands and swamps near zero elevation.
A supersonic tsunami would literally sweep away everything from Miami to the panhandle in a matter of minutes. Loss of human life would be virtually instantaneous and measured in the millions. Of course the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and southern region of Georgia—a state with no Gulf coastline—would also experience tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of casualties.

Loss of property is virtually incalculable and the days of the US position as the world's superpower would be literally gone in a flash...of detonating methane.

Editor's note: the good news is that Mexico will also be affected.

This is the Hell Intellisomethingorother Told you about.

This woman is a person that I think I like.

Might even want to have dinner with her, well if we could just get beyond the parking. Oh yeah, I'll cop to 20 bucks for the valet parking. Cool. Lets just hope she's not a vegan or how ever the hell you spell it. Ok, So then I order wine, turns out she in rehab, oh dear, ok, lets have a nice glass of tea, oh dear, she is not in rehab, but should be. I'm a dead man walking. It's not wine she likes after all, nope it's 18 year old Scotch. Neat. Water back. Ok, ok, $77.00 later she is ordering din din. I'm trying to remember how much cash I have and what the credit card has left to spend and if I use the debit card just how deep into saving she is going to push my face. Oh thank god! She is not a vegan, or virgin for that matter, she wants the grain fed, beef, aged for months and cooked to perfection, just until the juicy action begins, not that kind. Two fingers thick, one finger less than the Scotch, but as big around as her tit, either one but thank god not both. Turns out she really likes blood. I have to take a time here to say: Watching her chew on the piece of red meat was a truly erotic moment! Damn Woman! Break my Heart! (then this little friend I keep in the very back of my mind, woke up and said hey. Hey.Bro!! HEY!!!! What the hell are you thinking!!!! Have you ever heard of a PREYing MANtus!!! dumb ass. Oh yeah, that's right you thought it was a PRAYing mantus, 'cause of the hands and looking like a priest and (SEEE looking like a PRIEST and )all.

Dumb ASs.

Well anyway, the dinner that did not happen, (like a nice dream) ended with her going off to bang the waitperson. Thank you Jesus. I flipped the valet another $20 bucks to drive my car around the block and pick me up out of sight of my newest old best friend.
That Valet had curves and tits that make one's mouth water. Anyway, I got in the car and by the time she got out I was light another $100 bucks (US)

On a lighter note: This broad seems to be a spiritual sister of JadedJ.

(As I stated earlier, I'm a dead man walkin'

What Fresh Hell?

Flood Plain stuff.

Turns out all those maps, with the lines showing the limits of the flood danger, were calculated in 80's using a slide rule to crunch the numbers and a graphite pencil on vellum, with a bamboo scale, to locate them. The scale is approx 1 mile per inch.
Try to see the width of the line at that scale. It would fall between the two wood columns on the front porch.
The computer used at that time was an 8088. The models being generated today use cutting edge computers (not leading edge, not state of the art) and GPS triangulated data from hot s**t devices that are mounted on cars, boats, planes, trains and yaks, if the needs arises. It can measure a 400 meter swath of date as it rolls along at highway speed. (terrain and structures)

So the lesson of the hour: when you look at a map of the flood plain in your town and you see a line that says the flood plain is way across the road from your house and you don't need flood insurance. Well buy it, cause you don't need it and it's cheap. When, (when) the flood water rise up into your home, you will thank me, or not.
Oh buy the weigh, the numbers they are using for the flood water height are based on the NGVD 1929. The new numbers NAVD 1988, the factor of error is a foot, plus or minus. (either way you'er screwed)

Ok, still not convinced? Close all the doors in your house and stuff towels at the sills, ok now flood your house with 2 inches of water. How does it feel? Where's the cat? Did you pick up the blanket like I said?

Enough of that.

What Fresh Hell?

Now this is a photograph I made this afternoon. I came home and just could not leave it alone.
There is a madness that is rampant in the nation. I don't know where it comes from and don't care where it goes, just get the hell away from me. If you don't I will.
I am worried for the good of my native soil, for the second time in my life.
It is the Money that drive$ all of the Bu$'s engines.

Anyway let's just all have a good chuckle for old time sake.

ya know back in the day when everyone knew what the back of the bu$ was for.

What Fresh Hell?

Well this one is to help calm JadedJ.

What a piece of work. Go see his site, colder than a witches tit out there where his from, and I'm in sunny Florida.
Take another look at the weather map. Florida has Frost and it's costing farmers Jack.
He ain't just Nippin', his chuggin'.
I have this Fat Daddy Buick, fine ride, 22 mpg 'round town.
Smooth until the A/C goes out. Damn, I thought it was the Serpentine belt.
Yeah that plus the A/C compressor and the Receiver/Drier and the Orifice tube?
Say What?? and Refrigerant (not kidding) coldest night of the past 2 months and they sell me Refrigerant.
And, AND i PAY for it.

This is the greatest country in the world.

Maybe, a photograph.

What Fresh Hell?

Obscure reference 12&1

Stayin' with the thought from last evening.
I have to say that the intelligentsia of this great country is movin' on.
Walkin' Man said it best
(as always, (I don't know if i believe he really was an auto mechanic))

one just has to 'shrug', join the wise, and move on.
(phooey)

Hank Snow was the writer that day.

That big eight-wheeler rollin' down the track
Means your true-lovin' daddy ain't comin' back
'Cause I'm movin' on, I'll soon be gone
You were flyin' too high, for my little old sky
So I'm movin' on
That big loud whistle as it blew and blew
Said hello to the southland, we're comin' to you
When we're movin' on, oh hear my song
You had the laugh on me, so I've set you free
And I'm movin' on
Mister fireman won't you please listen to me
'Cause I got a pretty mama in Tennessee
Keep movin' me on, keep rollin' on
So shovel the coal, let this rattler roll
And keep movin' me on
Mister Engineer, take that throttle in hand
This rattler's the fastest in the southern land
To keep movin' me on, keep rollin' on
You gonna ease my mind, put me there on time
And keep rollin' on
I've told you baby, from time to time
But you just wouldn't listen or pay me no mind
Now I'm movin' on, I'm rollin' on
You've broken your vow, and it's all over now
So I'm movin' on
You've switched your engine now I ain't got time
For a triflin' woman on my main line
Cause I'm movin on, you done your daddy wrong
I warned you twice, now you can settle the price
'Cause I'm movin on
But someday baby when you've had your play
You're gonna want your daddy but your daddy will say
Keep movin' on, you stayed away too long
I'm through with you, too bad you're blue

Keep movin' on
